Olive Oil is not just for cooking!

As a BzzAgent I was chosen to try out Filippo Berio Extra Olive Oil for one of their newest campaign. Olive Oil is a great way to boost flavors when cooking or in your recipes for salad dressing, sooups, dipping sauce, etc but it can also be used as a part of your daily beauty regimen. I have dry skin & most of the lotions that I've bought for dry skin doesn't seem to leave my skin moisturized for a long time, a trick I've learned is to add a little bit of olive oil to your lotion or moisturizer for softer smoother skin through out your day. Another thing that I struggle with is dark spots left behind by acne, olive oil can help you to lightened those marks on your face without drying out your skin. In a bottle, mix 1/4 cup of olive oil, 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar, and 1 tsp of lemon juice (freshly squeezed is better) after washing your face at night, pour some of this moisturizer on a cotton ball & wipe it over your face, the apple cider will kill any bacteria & stop acne, the olive oil will moisturize the skin & the lemon will lighten those marks or dark spots. If you have dry damaged hair olive oil can also help to bring back your hair to life by using it as a hot oil treatment, pour 1/2 cup of olive oil in a bowl and slowly massage your scalp with the olive oil and then smooth it down to your roots, you can put a plastic shower cap or wrap a towel around your hair and use your body heat to warm up the olive oil on your hair for 30 mins to 1 hour or you can also sit under a hair dryer for 5 mins and after that rinse it out well and style as usual, you will see a big difference if you keep this as a weekly regimen. This will have your hair looking shiny, feeling soft and looking healthy.

Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solution for sensitive skin

We all have our issues when it comes to our skin, some of us has dry, combination, acne, oily etc. I personally have acne prone skin and my skin is very sensitive. It's really hard to find products that will clear up your acne and still be gentle on your skin. Well since I'm a Bzzagent, I was sent a product line by Burt's Bees called Natural Skin Solution. I received their Daily Moisturizing Cream and Sensitive Facial Cleanser which contains all natural ingredients. The facial cleanser doesn't contain any soap it's more like a creamy face wash, it removes dirt and makeup without drying out or irritating your skin, it left my skin really soft and smooth. When I applied the daily moisture cream to my face it felt very cool, no oily, greasy feeling at all. My face felt really hydrated all day. I recommend this product to anyone who has acne, oily or sensitive skin.

Fourth of July Potato Salad Recipe

This is a wonderful, easy and delicious Potato Salad recipe that I saw and tried from website I came across a while back, it will definitely go great with your BBQ chicken, ribs or whatever meat you decide to throw on the grill for the upcoming Fourth of July. It's not your traditional potato salad, this recipe calls for red potatoes and bacon which adds a rich flavor and will be sure to be everyone's favorite once they've tried it.

Ingredients

2 pounds clean, scrubbed new red potatoes
6 eggs
1 pound bacon
1 onion, finely chopped
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
2 cups mayonnaise
salt & pepper to taste

Directions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. Drain and set in the refrigerator to cool.
Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Cover and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from hot water, cool, peel and chop.
Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.
Chop the cooled potatoes, leaving skin on. Add to a large bowl, along with the eggs, bacon, onion and celery. Add mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste. Chill for an hour before serving.

Enjoy

Beautiful Lips

When it comes to skin care i think most people pay least attention to their lips, there is nothing worse than having dry, chapped lips. First of all it hurts and it makes you like dehydrated which is not a good look. I am someone who takes skin care very seriously but sometimes I am guilty of not giving my lips any attention and the lip gloss that I've used in the past made my lips feeling sticky, greasy and believe it or not, dry. I was sent a new product by Covergirl called Natureluxe Gloss Balm to try out since I am a BzzAgent, their (CoverGirl) gloss balm comes in a tube almost similar to lipstick, really nice packaging and it will definitely be able to fit in your purse or pocket. When i applied the gloss balm to my lips it felt hydrated right away and it gives a lips a nice shine, it didn't feel sticky or give my lips a greasy appearance. It's been a few hours since i applied the gloss balm, my lips still feels very moisturized, the color of the gloss balm is not that visible but my lips are looking very healthy. I really like this product and will pass the word onto to my mother, sisters and friends.

An Inexpensive Facial

Everyone wants to have beautiful skin however it can be burn a hole in your pockets when it comes to buying expensive creams, washes and serums, some of these products end up giving you more skin problems or irritations than what you started out with. There is a product that most people have in their kitchen cupboards that you can use to clean your face, exfoliate and brighten your skin. It is Baking Soda. That's right, Baking Soda! All you have to do is mix one part baking soda with one part water to form a paste, then apply it to your face in a circular motion and then rinse with warm water. This paste will get rid of dead skin cells without harming your skin because it contains sodium bicarbonate which helps to neutralize your skins PH. It will leave your skin feeling smooth and you will also notice that your complexion is also a little bit brighter, so go ahead and give it a try.

Smart & Easy Cleaning!

One thing i really hate doing is cleaning the bathroom it can be very overwhelming especially if u have a household of many people.  I really wish i can snap my fingers and have it cleaned in seconds right before my eyes, unfortunately that's not possibly but i can only wish.... hahaha. Being a BzzAgent i got the opportunity to try out Scrubbing Bubbles Shower Foamer, so i crossed my fingers and hoped that it would work because i'm getting really tired of scrubbing the tub/shower. When i used this product it sprays out this thick white foam that looks a lot like soap sud, it didn't fill up my bathroom with a strong odor, so that was a good sign that i wouldn't be running out the bathroom to escape strong fumes that might knock me out. I allowed the foam to stay on the tub and shower walls as directed and then i sprayed it off with water, it left the tub looking clean almost as if i had scrubbed it & the tiles on my shower wall was clean to the touch. I really didn't think this product would do what it claim but it made my job a lot more easier, so far the outcome was good and I will continue to use it as long as it gets the job done.
