Olive Oil is not just for cooking!
As a BzzAgent I was chosen to try out Filippo Berio Extra Olive Oil for one of their newest campaign. Olive Oil is a great way to boost flavors when cooking or in your recipes for salad dressing, sooups, dipping sauce, etc but it can also be used as a part of your daily beauty regimen. I have dry skin & most of the lotions that I've bought for dry skin doesn't seem to leave my skin moisturized for a long time, a trick I've learned is to add a little bit of olive oil to your lotion or moisturizer for softer smoother skin through out your day. Another thing that I struggle with is dark spots left behind by acne, olive oil can help you to lightened those marks on your face without drying out your skin. In a bottle, mix 1/4 cup of olive oil, 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar, and 1 tsp of lemon juice (freshly squeezed is better) after washing your face at night, pour some of this moisturizer on a cotton ball & wipe it over your face, the apple cider will kill any bacteria & stop acne, the olive oil will moisturize the skin & the lemon will lighten those marks or dark spots.
If you have dry damaged hair olive oil can also help to bring back your hair to life by using it as a hot oil treatment, pour 1/2 cup of olive oil in a bowl and slowly massage your scalp with the olive oil and then smooth it down to your roots, you can put a plastic shower cap or wrap a towel around your hair and use your body heat to warm up the olive oil on your hair for 30 mins to 1 hour or you can also sit under a hair dryer for 5 mins and after that rinse it out well and style as usual, you will see a big difference if you keep this as a weekly regimen. This will have your hair looking shiny, feeling soft and looking healthy.
